Quincy Votes! Working Groups

Thank you so much for your interest in Quincy Votes! We are so glad to have you.

We are a new group that came together to try to boost participation in local elections and build community here in Quincy. We meet on the first Saturday of every month from 10 to 11:30 am. (We met in person at our first meeting in December 2021 and online for a few months after that; we plan to alternate between in-person and online meetings going forward to allow for as many as possible to participate. You can see recent meeting notes here.)

We meet as a large group but also work in smaller groups between monthly meetings. The working groups are:

  • This group will work to get more people registered to vote.

  • This group will help people figure out who's on the ballot, what various elected officials do, etc.

  • This group will help bring individual residents together so we can feel more connected both to each other and to local goings-on.

  • This group will work with future voters to engage in community affairs and encourage them (and their friends and family) to cast ballots when eligible.

  • This group will collect, process, and share relevant data to boost our voting efforts.

  • Will raise money for projects that require it (such as this student logo contest).

  • Will create a website and social media accounts for the group.

You can sign up for the working groups here

We also have a Facebook group where members can post links to news articles, events, etc.

We are excited to get to know you and to work together to strengthen our community and democracy!
